Notes from our importer, 2nd Mile Specialty Coffee:
Known as “Seri Biru Gedeb” – meaning “radiant blue”. This fully washed beauty reflects the clarity and brightness that make Gedeb coffees legendary. Ripe cherries are delivered by more than 390 smallholder farmers to Banko Chelchele Station and fermented for two to three days in open tanks before washing and slow drying over 18–25 days.
The result is a refined, articulate cup: high floral lift, bright citrus, and balanced stone fruit sweetness, rounded out by a delicate, tea-like body. The combination of high
elevation, volcanic soils, and slow ripening under cool mists yields exceptional flavour concentration.
With complete lot traceability and sustainability projects in progress, this
coffee delivers both timeless washed Ethiopian character and modern
specialty-grade transparency.
