Coffee has opened doors and built meaningful relationships for KěrYǐ. These experiences have shaped our vision for the kind of coffee we want to share.
Our mission is to make specialty coffee approachable for the casual coffee lover.
From green selection to roast profiling, we make conscious decisions at every step to seek balance while highlighting each coffee’s terroir and varietal character. We develop each coffee for its best expression, rather than for specific brewing techniques, so it can be enjoyed in different ways.
About us
KěrYǐ is born from our names, Ker and Yi. In Mandarin, it sounds like kě yǐ (可以), which means “can” or “doable.” This simple phrase sits at the core of what we do. It reflects our belief in showing up with passion, pursuing what we love, and turning challenges into milestones through grit and heart.
As an owner operated coffeehouse, we roast our coffee in small batches and find joy in sharing coffees that are balanced and approachable. We are also proud of our homely, comforting in-house bakes.
We put the same thought into the space itself. We wanted it to feel comfortable and easy to be in — a place for conversations, focused work, reading, or simply taking a breather. Nothing showy or complicated. Just a cozy, welcoming space built for people to feel at ease.
Approachability matters to us. Coffee can be complex, but enjoying it shouldn’t be. You do not need to know every detail to appreciate what’s in your cup. We are here to share, to guide when asked, and to offer a friendly experience every time you visit.
