Notes from our importer, Bero Coffee Singapore:

The Paranaiba River is one of Brazil’s main arteries, especially for the Cerrado. A vital

water source for one of the world's most diverse ecosystems, it supports irrigation,

generates electricity, and connects the region to the larger Paraná River. It has

indelibly shaped the Cerrado physically and culturally.

Cerrado Mineiro has become synonymous with quality coffee. The region has received

the Indication of Origin and the Denomination of Origin, recognitions of the unique qualities of coffee.

For Elzi Silveira Faria, coffee has been a constant presence within her family’s

history. Her grandmother produced coffee in Rio de Janeiro, and her father continued

the tradition after moving to Paraná. Their love for coffee persisted even after the frosts wiped out her father's crop.

Elzi now shares the inherited love for coffee with her three sons - Rodrigo, Renato, and Thiago, who are all coffee producers. They work together out of Fazenda Rodomunho, their home and farm.
